Product Description
Cosequin is a patented, scientifically researched nutritional supplement dispensed by thousands of veterinarians to help dogs maintain healthy joints. Recommendation as a Supplement: The initial administration period is 4 to 6 weeks. Most animals should respond within this period. Improvement on Cosequin can range from gradual to dramatic. If the improvement is gradual, it may go unnoticed by the owner. It is therefore important to keep the animal at the initial amount for at least 4 to 6 weeks before deciding to discontinue the use of Cosequin. If there is gradual improvement and Cosequin is discontinued, a regression of clinical status can occur. Tablets can be directly fed to pet or crumbled and mixed with food.

Customer Reviews
My vet recommended these for my four-year-old border collie/lab who has severe arthritis in her front legs and hip displasia issues in her back. They have really improved her ability to move around. She is back to looking forward to her daily walk, jumping on the bed, etc. The reason this isn't a 5 star rating is that she hates the taste. She refuses to crew them up. I've tried breaking them into pieces and hiding them in peanut butter only to watch her carefully remove them from the peanut butter. I've crushed them and put them in meat which she refuses once she gets a smell of it. Thus, every morning, I have to "force" feed to the pill to her. I'm not sure who wins this one. While the pill eventually gets taken it goes in and out of her mouth several times before she finally gives up and accepts the inevitable. My cocker spaniel has been the recipient of many spit out pills and seems to think they are quite tasty. However, he has no need for them.
We have been using this product for a number of months. Our dog was having trouble going up and down stairs and the tablets have made a world of difference. She doesn't seem to have pains in her hips any more.
